Environmental Protection Society (EPS) in collaboration with Penny Appeal Pakistan (PAPk) implemented ‘Winter Emergency – Giving Tuesday Project’ in village Utror, Kalam, Tehsil Bahrain, District Swat, KP. The project period is of one month starting from November 16, 2020 and benefited total 112 households through provision of winterizations kits. Households were selected based on vulnerability to severe cold weather and poverty parameters. Winterization kits were consisting of Blanket {Razai/Fleece (02)}, Shawl (1 Male & 1 Female), Sweater/hood (02), Woollen Caps (02), Socks (06 Pairs), Soap (03), Face Masks (24) and packing. Coordination with DC Swat was made and relevant support was sorted out. It is to mention that almost 4-5 feet snowfall was noted from Kalam to Utror and the dwellers were in dire need for the support to spend the severe winter season securely and also to adopt protective measures against COVID-19 pandemic.
