Building Resilience to Disasters and Climate Change (BRDCC) Project’ in two Union Councils of district Shangla, KP

Output 1: Enhanced awareness and preparedness on disaster risk reduction at community level
 Activity 1.1 Formation of VOs
 Activity 1.2 Formation of Risk Reduction Plan at the village level identifying critical infrastructure schemes and location for building resilience
 Activity 1.3 Formation of O&M committees
 Activity 1.4 25 Training events for community members (5 members for each project) on O&M of infrastructure
Output 2: Increased resilience of target communities through development of relevant community infrastructure for drought and flood disasters mitigation.
 Activity 2.1 Preparation of technical design and cost estimates and approval of proposals
Activity 2.2 Initiation and completion of Flood Protection Structures (Gabion Structures, Concrete Walls, Retaining/ Stone-masonry Walls & Earthen embankments) of 12 projects.
