To mark Pakistan’s Independence Day, the Environmental Protection Society (EPS) organized a seedball preparation and dispersion drive at GHS Ghalegay in collaboration with the Forest Department Swat. The event engaged 500 participants, including the Assistant Commissioner and Additional Assistant Commissioner of Barikot from the District Administration, Principal of GHS Ghalegay, students, local community members, IWJ members of Ghalegay, foresters from the Forest Department, and media representatives.

With the support of the Forest Department Swat,  worked together to prepare 1,700 seed balls and subsequently dispersed them across targeted local areas, focusing on practical environmental restoration and forestation.

This activity was conducted under the “Enhancing Climate Resilience and Sustainable Ecosystems” project, which is implemented in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and funded by IUCN. The initiative aimed to integrate climate action with the national holiday to raise environmental awareness among the students, teachers, and community members.
